Two days after the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Shuibu Ibrahim disclosed the allowance increments of the NYSC members during a session with some corps members at the service’s Bauchi State Secretariat. Some NYSC members have already got the N33,000 increments alert.
Discussing with some NYSC members at the Federal Secretariat in Yola, some of the members lamented that they are yet to receive their own alert.
Philomina Bitrus a corp member said:
“About 5 of my fellow corp members who are banking with Zenith, Unity and Union Bank received alert at about 1:00 AM this morning, while some of us that are using Access Bank, UBA and other banks didn’t receive any alert yet”
Just like any other Federal Government parastatal, the NYSC monthly allowance is paid randomly due to delay from Banks.
